Score 90/100 · Drink 2007-2013, Pierre Rovani, Aug 2005

Produced from a newly acquired 0.8 hectare (1.98 acre) parcel of 70+ year old vines located to the right of the N74 (heading South) before the wall of the Chateau de Pommard, the 2003 Pommard La Levriere Vieilles Vignes was harvested at 20 hectoliters per hectare. Aged in 80% new oak, its super-ripe red cherry aromatics lead to a supple personality packed with gorgeous layers of sweet red fruits. This deep, suave, fruit forward wine displays a long finish that is studded with ripe tannin. Drink it between 2007 and 2013. Importer: Weygandt-Metzler, Peter Weygandt, Unionville, PA; tel.
