Tasting notes
(from 70-year-old vines planted on rich, heavy, "humid" soil) Reticent nose opens with air to reveal pure lemon and hazelnut. Rich, round and seamless in the mouth, with expressive flavors of soft citrus fruits, burnt butter and spicy gingerbread. Offers a lovely light touch for 2006 in spite of its size and finishes with a whiplash of fruit and lovely lingering perfume.

Cask sample. Sweet, scented nose with real sleekness and refreshment on the palate. Pretty confident. This finished dry and really gets the saliva flowing. Impressive. Bone dry but very confident. (JR)
Fresh aromas of lemon drop and grilled nuts. Juicy and firm, with lemony acidity leavening the wine's velvety texture. This shows good minerality for 2006 at this address. Good fresh, solid wine with lovely shape and persistence.
