Score 96/100 · Drink 1967-2027, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Sep 2022

The 1947 Haut-Brion has not been a darling of the critics over the last half-century, yet my experiences with this wine have been very positive. Offering up a rich bouquet of roasted fruits mingled with tobacco leaf, cedar, vine smoke, mocha, black truffles and walnuts, it's full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a thick, textural core of fruit, melted tannins and a long, expansive finish.
