Score 87/100 · Drink 2000, Robert Parker, Jan 1990
Daniel Senard, one of Aloxe-Corton's most visible proprietors, made delicious 1985s that possess vibrant, well-focused black cherry fruit married handsomely with toasty vanillin oak. On the palate the wine shows the personality characteristics of the 1985 vintage-soft, lush fruit, medium to full body, and very soft, light tannins. The Corton Les Bressandes is outstanding. It can be drunk now-the wonderful dilemma with most 1985 burgundies-or can be cellared for 5-10 years.
