Tasting notes
The pale peach-colored 1999 Brut Vintage Rosé offers delicate aromas of yeasty strawberries as well as a medium to full-bodied character that displays peach, pepper and red currant flavors. Medium to full-bodied and well-focused, this is a rich, flavorful rosé that will work wonderfully with meals. Louis Roederer does not display a disgorgement date or consumer-friendly lot number on its Brut Rosé. This is regrettable, as it has consistently been one of the finer bottlings in this category. Pale copper-pink. Fresh aromas of rose, floral honey, peach and nectarine, with subtle mineral and dusty talc notes. Rich and smooth, with good underlying structure. The dense, juicy peach flavor is complemented by an exotic cinnamon note and carries through the long, velvety finish.
