Tasting notes
Deep, glossy crimson. Toasty nose. Solid, cheerful, plump, very representative Pomerol. Hides nothing. Perhaps no great hidden depth. What you see is what you get. (JR)

A seductive, classic Pomerol in its open-knit, forward display of roasted coffee scents intermixed with caramel, black cherry jam, and some sweet, toasty oak, this is a lush, medium to full-bodied, dark ruby-colored wine with good flesh, low acidity, and excellent purity. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2016.

Dark ruby. Superripe, oaky aromas of raw blackberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. More concentrated than most recent vintages of this wine; not yet complex, but ripe, solid and well-made. The chocolatey quality carries through on the palate and aftertaste.
