Today, the 2010 comes across as quite pretty and medium in body, but it also needs at least another year in bottle to come together. More than a wine of aromas and flavors, the Valentini Rose is really more a wine of texture. The 2010 looks to be a relatively delicate version of one of Italy's most compelling and iconic Roses. I especially like the salinity and energy of the finish. As good as the 2010 is, it remains very tight and in need of considerable aeration.

These are two drop-dead gorgeous wines from Valentini, one of Italy’s most iconic producers.
