Tasting notes
This is an attractive Pavie that is nearing maturity. The 1979 has surprisingly dark ruby color with only a trace of amber, with a toasty, smoky, herb-and-berry-scented bouquet, medium body, good power and weight, and moderate tannins. It is a tasty but compact wine. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 3/91.
