Medium red. High-pitched, minerally nose is less accessible today than that of the Ch a teau des Ducs. Then rich, juicy, deep and perfumed in the mouth, with intriguing notes of leather and truffley earth. Not at all a fruit bomb but finishes round, silky and long. This is coming along very nicely.

Medium red. Deeply pitched, soil-driven nose shows more stone and menthol than primary fruit. Dense, sweet and concentrated but much less showy and refined now than the Chateau des Ducs. This will need more time in bottle.

Delicate, perfumed and mineral aromas. Dry on the palate with sweetish oak spice yet so lively and delicate with very fine tannins. Great finesse and a delicious juciy freshness in the mouth. (JH)
