Tasting notes
Dry finish but masses of exciting and complex fruit on the mid palate with notes of blackcurrant. Sweet and so rich! With lots of life still in it, even in a regular 75-cl bottle.

This is not a pretty wine. The amber-tinged color is followed by earthy, vegetal, spicy scents, and little fruit. Harsh, austere, and frightfully tannic, this hollow wine will undoubtedly keep for 20-25 years, but it will never provide any pleasure. Drink it up. Feb 1996, www.robertparker.com
