The 1970 Cos d'Estournel's color remains an impressive dark garnet with ruby/purple tints. The wine is medium to full-bodied, tannic, rustic, and concentrated, but coarse and charmless. It will keep for another 25 years, but I wonder if this wine will ever blossom? Jun 1996, www.robertparker.com
