Delivers loads of flowers, with rose and lilac. Full-bodied, with crushed blackberry and strawberry, silky tannins and bright fruit. Balanced and pretty. The second wine of Ausone.-James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2009

A beautiful perfume of black raspberries, black cherries, black currants, licorice, damp earth, truffles and asphalt soars from this deep, full-bodied 2008. The tannins are sweet, the concentration level impressive and the wine is round and generous. It is ideal for drinking over the next 15-20 years. May 2011, www.robertparker.com
