2007 Fourcas Hosten

Tasting notes
The 2007 Fourcas Hosten feels a little enervated on the nose and lacks the fruit concentration of the 2006. Dry and earthy, the aromatics suggest that they’ve seen better days. The palate is slightly better, with dry tannins and vestiges of black fruit laced with mint, but overall, this was probably more appealing a few years ago.

Richer and more toasty than the Fourcas-Dupré and sweeter fruit on the mid palate. Dusty light texture and dryish finish. (JH)
Interesting, strongly aromatic nose with a streak of green. **Round and foursquare. Reasonably voluptuous even if not the most refreshing. Bit of a drying and watery finish! (JR)
