Usually my least favorite of the Despagne wines, which are all impeccably well-made, this is still an awfully good wine, made primarily from Merlot but with some small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It is soft and attractive, with herbal and black currant notes, some real fat in its succulence, and a velvety finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Dec 2011, www.robertparker.com
