La Morra. Concentrated ruby with orange tinge. Very ripe nose with dense fruit palate. Acidity peeks up on the finish. (WS)
The 2008 Barolo Vigneto Brunate comes across as relatively understated and light weight in this vintage. It is texturally quite beautiful and silky, but the gravitas, darkness and muscle of Brunate is missing. This looks to be a relatively early maturing Barolo.

Fabio and Andrea Oberto are arguably La Morra’s most important under-the-radar growers. Various American importers, including: Chambers & Chambers, San Francisco, CA; tel.
