Pale gold. At first a little stinky but there are notes of honey. A bit muted and dull but perhaps it will open out in the decanter? Not fat. Not tart. Medium body. Does the biz without being exciting. (JR)

Pale, green-tinged yellow. Musky stone fruits dominate the nose. Then fatter and sweeter in the mouth than the Referts and a bit more exotic, with less tension. A distinctly creamy, tactile wine that finishes with a lingering note of candied citrus peel and solid minerality.

A négociant bottling. Something floral and lifted on the nose. Rich and with liquorice on the palate. Some race. Pretty decent, though expensive! Also tasted 11 Jan 2010 . Score 16+ Drink 2011-15: Mid intensity, some nuttiness on the nose. Mid weight and lots of lemon character. Quite solid and certainly a mouthful, just slightly stodgy. (JR)

Light yellow. Aromas of crystallized lemon peel, peach and flowers. Suaver than the Referts, with a penetrating quality and lovely acid backbone to the sweet peach and lemon flavors. A very harmonious wine that finishes with a strong flavor of ripe peach. This will eventually finish drier than its current 2.7 grams of residual sugar. At this point in our tasting, Boudot wondered out loud whether the use of some commercial yeasts might not have helped him finish his fermentations in a year that required a lot of debourbage
