Tasting notes
The 2010 Nairac has a powerful and assertive bouquet with intense wild honey, marmalade and candle wax aromas that burst from the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, though not quite as complex as the Domaine de l’Alliance. There is just a touch of bitterness on the aftertaste here. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.

Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Nairac reveals slowly growing notes of pineapple upside-down cake, green mango and lemon tart with wafts of honeycomb and cloves. The palate has lovely purity with a lot of tropical fruit and citrusy layers framed by racy acidity, finishing on a zesty note.
Tasted blind. Woody, almond-paste nose. Really cedary aroma, a touch smoky. Super-fresh and taut, a streamlined and pure wine with a long finish. (JH)
