Here the nose is finer, airier and ultimately, slightly more complex than that of the Caillerets and slightly classier as well with white flower and honeysuckle aromas trimmed in noticeable but not really intrusive toast. The big and rich flavors are nicely full with plenty of dry extract and fine length where the toast resurfaces. Like the Caillerets, I am frankly a bit surprised at how forward this is relative to its usual reticence at this early stage. We'll see how it develops but at present, it would appear to be quite approachable young.

Pale, bright color. Lime, violet and a sweaty suggestion of curry powder on the nose. Rich and highly concentrated, a step up in intensity from the foregoing premier crus. The dominant flavor is of crushed stone and yet this boasts enticing sweetness and pliancy. Finishes broad, classically dry and very long, with considerable power. I found this fascinating already but it would appear to have the structure and guts to evolve slowly in bottle.
Pale lemon-green color. Complex, musky aromas of citrus peel, spices and stone. The richest in the mouth to this point by far, offering grand cru breadth without any undue weight, and a succulence that's downright refreshing for the vintage. Lovely sweet, lingering aftertaste. This may be even better than my projected range.
