1998 Montpeyroux Cote Doree

Darker, more saturated ruby-red. Spicy aromas of raspberry, violet, charred oak and tomato. Bright, spicy and intensely flavored, with complex notes of red berries, bitter chocolate and violet. Rather stylish but still quite tight. Finishes with tongue-drying tannins and excellent grip. This, too, tastes like a wine from a drought year. Needs time.
