Mid ruby. So sweet and meaty on the nose with masses of development. Sweet and edgy and rewarding. Only medium weight but knocks spots off most 2002 first growths at 10 times the price! GV (JR)

A dark ruby color is followed by a wine offering abundant aromas of sweet cherries, balsam wood, and herbs, a lovely texture, medium body, and a superficial, but charming, sensual personality. Enjoy it during its first 7-8 years of life.
Dark red. Liqueur-like dark berries, with slightly medicinal leafy and minty nuances. Sweet, creamy and fruit-forward, but with the medicinal character following through in the mouth. Shows good volume for the vintage, with the fat nicely buffered by firm acids. Finishes firm and persistent.
Dark crimson with quite a pale rim. Meaty, fleshy nose, with an undertow of dryness. Compact, confident wine. Quite grown up. Well constituted. Fresh and dry. Needs time but should eventually be a good friend at the table. Vibrant. Moueix wine. (JR)
