Rather Margaux-like in its seductively aromatic appeal. And Graves-like in its very nice balance and minerality. Very successful for current or future drinking. Not massive but quite enough tannin for the fruit. Find this wine From 11 euros and $17.95 (JR)

Space limitations did not allow complete tasting notes for this Cru Bourgeois, but 2005 is the finest vintage for these wines since 1982. The range of scores for these wines should give readers an idea of just how consistent this vintage is at this level. Given the style of the vintage, most of these wines should be accessible young yet evolve for a decade or more because of their concentration and tannic structure.
Full, ripe nose, slightly dusty. Mid weight and a little severe, especially on the finish, but very, very correct and much more opulent than usual. But just a little more acidity please! Competent and solid. (JR)
