Mid ruby. Quite dry and mineral. Drying finish. A very strong statement! I just don’t think there is enough fruit in this rather mean wine, alas. (JR)

Very well melded, quite interesting nose. Firm, no concessions to specious sweetness. Good stuff. Appetising and well balanced – though I suspect very easy to overlook. Fine tannins suggest this should have quite a long life for a 2007. (JR)

Purplish blue. Thick, super-ripe fruit but awfully painful and green oaky on the finish. So dry!!! (JR)

Berries, cola and leafy aromas follow through to a light-to-medium body, with light tannins and a slightly diluted finish. A little disappointing. 4,750 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2010
