Beefy and dark. Fresh but rather dry tannins. (JH)

A deep plum/blue/purple color precedes a big, sweet bouquet of flowers, black fruits, and damp earth. This elegant, medium to full-bodied, rich, chewy 2003 possesses decent acidity, ripe tannin, and a persistent finish. Consume it over the next 10-15 years. Readers should be taking a closer look at Corbin given its upgrade in quality.

Very rich, ripe fruit – black cherries again? – but with sufficient acidity and (just) tannins to persuade me this is in good shape for the future. Dry finish. Certainly not comfortable at the moment. Light bodied. (JR)
