Score 87/100 · Drink 2005-2013, Robert Parker, Apr 2005

A classy effort for the vintage, Corbin’s attractive, elegant 2002 displays pleasant berry fruit intermixed with underbrush, dried herb, and licorice overtones. Although not terribly deep, it is medium-bodied, round, supple, well-balanced, and ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. Readers should be taking a closer look at Corbin given its upgrade in quality.

Low-key nose. Very dry on the palate. So inky that it's hard for the fruit to escape this tough cocktail. Very dry finish. (JR)
