The 2004 St.-Joseph Les Granits blanc is a wine with a light gold color, notes of marzipan, honeyed oranges, and lemon butter with amazing fruit, full body, and extraordinary richness and size. Light gold. Bright, mineral-accented melon and lichee aromas are deepened by floral honey. Firm on the palate, with fresh citrus and exotic fruit flavors supported by a racy minerality. The firm finish shows surprisingly expansive melon and orange flavors and impressive length. A very good showing today.
Bright straw color. Dusty aromas of pear skin, musky earth, talc and minerals. Quite firm, focused and dry, with intriguing wild herb and licorice flavors adding complexity to the fruit notes of quince and dried apple. Finishes with a note of toasted nuts.
