Tasting notes
In the first edition of this book I indicated that this wine was on the verge of cracking up. It is now in full decline, as the decaying, mushroom-like, woody, slightly oxidized bouquet suggests. In the mouth, the wine is feeble, lacks concentration, and finishes with noticeable alcohol and acidity. It is past its prime. Last tasted, 11/90.
