The light to medium-bodied, restrained 2003 Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet (white) offers a nose of searing minerals. This wine displays outstanding depth, concentration, and length yet doesn’t fully blossom on the palate, its sappy mineral-dominated core appearing reluctant to completely express itself. Projected maturity: 2007-2014. Maison Louis Latour has numerous importers across the United States.
About the producer

Louis Latour
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
