Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2011

(these vines are mostly 45 and 70 years of age, some even older, from a site near Enseigneres): Bright pale yellow. Perfumed aromas and flavors of ripe peach and orange oil. Broad and ripe but with very good mid-palate tension and cut. The steely, vibrant finish is all Puligny. Incidentally, Lamy likes the balance and concentration of the 2009s, and only his village Chassagne was harvested with as much as as 13.3% potential alcohol.

The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots is a wiry, energetic wine laced with pears, white flowers and minerals, all of which come together in a pure, bright wine loaded with considerable tension. I especially like the minerality here.

The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots is a wiry, energetic wine laced with pears, white flowers and minerals, all of which come together in a pure, bright wine loaded with considerable tension. I especially like the minerality here. Anticipated maturity: 2013+. This is a fabulous set of wines from Olivier Lamy. From top to bottom, I can't think of a single wine I wouldn't be thrilled to drink. Lamy began harvesting on September 7. The 2009s spent approximately twelve months in barrel and six months in steel. I also tasted through a number of the 2010s. Some of the wines were still in malo, but those that were not, including the Clos de Meix, Derriere Chez Edouard, En Remilly and Chatenieres, were all very promising. Simply put, I can't recommend these wines highly enough. A Becky Wasserman Selection, -Le Serbet,- imported by Polaner Selections, Mt. Kisco, NY; tel. (914) 244-0404

Tense nose but with lots of richness underneath. Round and already quite evolved. A sort of come-hither Puligny. Some attractive spine of herbs but I’d open this relatively young. (JR)
