Tasting notes
No one makes a better Lirac than Mordoree, and the 2003 Lirac La Dame Rousse has a dense ruby/purple color, gorgeous levels of opulent cherries, full body, and terrific concentration. The wine is a steal at the price and should drink well for 4-5 years. Importer: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel. (540) 722-9228

Some of the finest roses from southern France emerge from Mordoree. The 2003 Lirac roseis top-flight, with gorgeous freshness, loads of aromatics, and solidly intense flavors that belie its status. This is a serious wine that is made just as carefully as the estate’s top reds. Importer: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel. (540) 722-9228
Juicy and pretty good value. Smooth with lots of garrigue character. Dry finish at present. (JR)
