Tasting notes
Brancaia's 2006 Chianti Classico is a stylish expression of Chianti. This plump, supple wine exudes the essence of ripe dark fruit intermingled with sweet toasted oak, showing a full-bodied, generous personality. A small percentage of Merlot adds volume and gives the wine a contemporary feel although some of the Sangiovese character seems suppressed. This is a beautiful wine to enjoy over the next few years.
