Tasting notes
The 1995 Suduiraut is a vintage that I have never encountered before. It has a simple, adhesive scented bouquet that is bereft of vigor and energy. The palate is bitter on the entry, one-dimensional in style with an attenuated, raw finish that suggests this ought to have been consumed a decade ago. Tasted at the Suduiraut vertical at the château.

Already AXA’s. Sweet, low-key nose. Pungent and racy and refreshing. Quite full bodied and emphatic. A little burnt on the finish. Not quite enough refreshment. (JR)
The 1995 Suduiraut is a vintage that has never really appealed to me. It is not quite clean enough on the nose, a little Tokaji-like in style and missing delineation with strong adhesive scents. The palate is very simple with a sour note on the entry, lacking freshness with a finish that feels more mature than its 30 years of age. A bit saccharine.
