Tasting notes
The 2000 Dalla Valle Maya Proprietary Red Wine is fully mature, yet offers plenty of fruit, as well as an almost an old-world slant in its beautiful darker fruits, forest floor, graphite, and underbrush-driven bouquet. It’s medium to full-bodied and seamless on the palate, and while I don’t see any upside, well-stored bottles will certainly keep nicely going forward.

A seamless, layered wine, the 2000 Maya is all about texture. Silky and polished to the core, the 2000 is open and totally seductive today. All of the Maya signatures are in place in wine that emphasizes finesse over sheer size.
The 2000 Maya (a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc) is a medium-weight, elegant effort displaying spice box, incense, loamy soil, dried herb, creme de cassis, and smoky oak characteristics. Medium-bodied, lovely, and forward, it will drink well for 8-12 years. Tel. (707) 944-2676; Fax (707) 944-8411
