Racy and succulent to the core, the 1992 Maya impresses for its sheer depth. Black stone fruits, cloves, menthol, smoke and incense are some of the many notes that flesh out in a dramatic Maya endowed with tons of volume and equally intense tannins that ensure at least another handful of years of very fine drinking. The wine possesses great fruit, superb density, wonderful purity and balance, and a compelling extra dimension both aromatically and texturally. About the producer
Dalla Valle Vineyards was founded in 1986 by Naoko and her late husband Gustav Dalla Valle, in Oakville. Initially they had wanted to create a luxury resort, but when they discovered the potential of the site, they changed tack and decided to make wine.
