The finest wine of the series is the 2001 Montesodi, from the best Sangiovese vineyard of Nipozzano, very dark for a Sangiovese-based wine, ripe, ample, and penetrating in aroma, fleshy and spicy on the palate, supple and velvety during the entire flow over the palate. Drink: now-2016. Importer: Robert Mondavi Imports, Napa, CA; tel. (800) 228-2442
