Tasting notes
(made from grapes picked on August 23): Pale lemon-yellow. Ripe peach, orange juice and nutty oak on the nose. Fat, sweet and easygoing, with enough acidity to give shape to the peach and spice flavors. Finishes with good energy and spicy persistence. This delicious wine has filled in nicely since I tasted it from barrel last spring and has the balance to give early pleasure.

Quite tense with a little liquorice but a bit diffuse on the finish. Lacks the precision of some other 2011s at the moment. (JR)
Bright, pale yellow. Crystallized lemon peel and slightly exotic peppery spices on the nose. A bit herbal and minty, but boasts good intensity and a dusty, chewy quality to to its candied orange peel flavor. This leanish midweight finishes a bit tart. I get an impression of a wide range of ripeness in spite of the wine's low alcohol.
Notes of grilled almond combine with ripe but airy scents of pear, white peach and rose petal. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the attractively mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that possess a clean, refined and impeccably well-balanced finish. This moderately dry effort should be approachable young but also be worth cellaring for 4 to 6 years. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2016+
