1995 St Joseph Deschants

The 1995 Les Deschants from the granitic soils of the hillside vineyards of St.-Joseph reveals a mineral note in its ripe cassis fruit. Elegant, with tart acidity, it is reminiscent of the lean, tart 1993 red Burgundies. When I inquired about the Ph, I was told it was a very low 3.3. Last tasted 6/96.
