So what’s new? This one-dimensional, medium-bodied Pomerol offers touches of herbs, mocha, and cherry jam in a straightforward, simple format. It will keep for 10-12 years.

Perfumed and dark, then both spicy and herbaceous but there’s a strange raisiny note in the middle. Ripe firm tannins. A bit odd? (JH)

Deep crimson with a shaded rim. Quite full, opulent and energetic. Pure pleasure in terms of fruit ripeness then a bit of quite dry but refreshing tannin. Not more than medium bodied but a lovely drink. (JR)
