Tasting notes
Medium ruby, with some dilution in color evident at its edges, this light-bodied, simple, fruity, alcoholic 1989 leaves a great deal to be desired. It should be drunk over the next 3-5 years.

A soft, delicious '89 that tastes like chocolate mousse. Good dark-ruby color and loads of milk chocolate, earth, berry and mushroom. Full-bodied and round, with soft, velvety tannins. Not as great as I remember, but outstanding.--1989 Bordeaux horizontal. Drink now through 2005.James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1999
