Score 85/100 · Drink 2002-2009, Robert Parker, Apr 2002
Although La Louviere tends to be consistently well-made, the 1999 is light, lean, and under-whelming. The color is medium ruby, and the wine displays a lack of sweetness, texture, and richness. It will last for 6-7 years.

About the producer

La Louviere
Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
