Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Slightly reduced but flamboyant aromas of smoke, gunpowder, oatmeal, spices and dried fruits. Then very rich but uncompromisingly dry, with terrific fruit intensity and brisk but harmonious acidity. Very dense yet light on its feet; hides its alcohol but not its power. Mounting yellow fruit flavors really stain the palate on the back end. Has length and flavor authority rare for California white wine.
