(100% merlot, harvested on September 20 and 21) Medium-deep ruby-red. Inky black cherry and licorice aromas. Supple, sweet and easygoing, with rather soft dark berry and chocolate flavors. A distinctly feminine style of Pomerol, finishing with ripe tannins and a lingering note of dark chocolate. This wine was inoculated with malic bacteria at the outset and thus finished its malolactic fermentation very early, in October.

Round and sweet and floral and succulent. Very nice. Well judged. Picked relatively late? Though has great freshness. And length. (JR)
