The 2021 Marsannay Village is quite stoic, a bit withdrawn on the nose, maybe because of the dull weather outside, although it lacks the vivacity of the Bourgogne Côte d'Or, for example. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe red cherries and crushed strawberry, sorbet-fresh finishing with a blood orange tang. It finds its "voice" towards the finish. Fine, but give it a couple of years in bottle.

The 2021 Marsannay Village, a blend of several parcels, offers ripe black cherries, bilberry and violet scents that unfurl with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, black cherry and boysenberry fruit. Quite concentrated in context of the vintage with a bit of sinew on the finish.
