Score 92-95/100 · Drink 2003-2011, Robert Parker, Dec 2003
The 2002 Pinot Noir East Block is a sumptuous effort offering a smorgasbord of heavenly aromas, including red and black fruits, sweet toast, flowers, smoked game, and autumnal forest floor characteristics. It cuts a full-bodied swath across the palate, with no hard edges. A seamless, rich, concentrated, aromatic Pinot Noir, it is about as good as this varietal can get in the Russian River. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Not yet released. Tel. (707) 433-2305; Fax (707) 433-2358
