Tasting notes
I loved the 2018 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard, a layered, complex, medium-bodied Pinot Noir offering ample wild strawberry and cherry fruits as well as notes of spice, loamy earth, and assorted meaty, spicy nuances. Beautifully textured, round, and expansive, it has wonderful tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. It's another complex, balanced, impeccably made Pinot Noir from this team.

18% whole-cluster fermentation. 39% of the wine was fermented in concrete and another 12% fermented in oak. Aged in 36% new French oak and 9% new Austrian oak for 16 months. Spent an additional four months in steel tank before bottling. Smells of cherry and raspberry pie. The sweetish flavours of cherry and raspberry are exceedingly smooth and polished. Good acidity. On the plushier side of Pinot. (AY)
