Medium red. Sappy, youthfully medicinal flavors of raspberry and black cherry; slightly reduced. Concentrated and powerful but a bit musclebound today, finishing with a tannic toughness. But this has terrific energy and noteworthy length. I'd sock it away for a decade.

Full red-ruby. Sappy black cherry, plum, leather and spices on the nose. Then suave, dense, juicy and sweet in the mouth, with enticing flavors of dark berries, spices, minerals and violet. Finishes very long and firm, more discreet and more elegant than the Mazis. The fine tannins coat the teeth. This has terrific structure for aging.
