Tasting notes
The 2004 Barolo Villero is the freshest and most vibrant of these wines. Menthol, violets, black cherries, licorice and sweet spices emerge from this firm, medium-bodied Barolo. The tannins remain quite burly and in need of time to melt away, but this too is a commendable effort.

These 2004 Barolos are the finest wines I have tasted from Oddero in many years. The wines possess a surprising level of concentration relative to past recent vintages, with little of the shrillness that characterized those wines. It’s great to see Oddero making solid wines once again. Importers: Soilair Selection, New York, NY; tel. (646) 244-4022; Wine Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA; Baroness Small Estates, INC, Denver, CO; tel.
