Tasting notes
The 1995 possesses a healthy medium ruby color, sweet cherry fruit and toast in the nose, medium body, a pleasant, well-balanced personality, moderate flavor concentration, and low acidity. It will have to be drunk during the first 5-7 years after bottling. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.

Dark ruby color. Blackberry and blueberry aromas, with cedar and light pipe tobacco character. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a medium finish. Reserved in style and slightly hollow on the midpalate. Needs some more bottle time.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2007
