Tasting notes
Deep ruby. An impressively complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and dark berries, incense and smoky minerals, and subtle floral and earth flourishes gain strength as the wine opens up. Palate-staining black raspberry, cherry compote and blood orange flavors are accompanied by violet pastille and spicecake qualities. Concentrated yet lithe, displaying outstanding clarity and power on a very long, focused, gently tannic finish. The interplay of depth and vivacity here is superb.
