The 2000 Barolo Bussia Vigna Fiurin is from a plot with a more western-facing exposure, which contributes to some of the spiced, balsamic notes that take shape in the glass. Bright, deep red. Sweet aromas of strawberry, underbrush and nutty oak; rather Burgundian. Lush, fleshy and seamless; full and rich. Nicely concentrated if fairly soft wine with just enough acidity for balance. Finishes seamless and long, with nutty oak and sweet, building tannins. In the style of the vintage's better examples.
