Deep red. Currant, plum, licorice, mint and oak spices on the nose. A moderately concentrated, pliant midweight, with ripe flavors of plum and cinnamon lifted by fresh herbs. Good juicy energy makes this very easy to drink, and the firm tannins won't stand in the way of early enjoyment.

Starts with a pleasantly earthy nose and palate of ripe black fruit and complexing black spice. Yet it disappoints with a hollow mid palate and a lean, tart finish. (LM)
